Adjust Validity

You can adjust the validity period for currently valid, expired or future process revisions that do not yet have a successor version.

Prerequisites

You are a BPM Manager or Process Owner for the processes whose validity period you want to adjust.

Context

You can adjust the validity period of process revisions. You can adjust the validity period of currently valid, expired and future process revisions. Process revisions that have a successor version cannot have their validity period adjusted. When extending the validity period, you can select individual, several or all process revisions.

How to Proceed

1. In the main menu, select Manage Processes.

   The overview page of the same name appears.

2. Select the Actions tab.

3. Select the Adjust Validity action in the Releases tile.

   The page of the same name appears with a table of all relevant processes.

   The table of all relevant processes contains, possibly spread over several pages, all processes in which you are a Process Participant, Process Contributor or Process Owner and shows the validity period for each process.

4. To reduce the number of page changes required for the selection, narrow down the list of relevant processes using the filters. To do so, click the filter, set the filter and close the filter selection by clicking the filter again.

   The table is narrowed down accordingly.

5. Activate the selection fields in Configure Table Columns to define the table columns and filter options displayed in the table.

6. Activate the selection fields of the processes whose validity period you want to adjust.

7. Click Execute action on {{number}} version(s).

   A dialog window for adjusting the validity period appears.

8. Adjust the validity period and the change report as required.

9. Click Adjust Validity to apply your changes.
