Assigning Multiple Processes

Prerequisites

You are a BPM Manager.

Context

Processes must be linked to a hierarchy element in order to be accessible in the process map.

The Assign Processes to a Process Level page contains a table with, among others, the columns Process Name, Process Level and Status, each of which you can restrict to specific entries using Filters.

The table can be restricted to the imported and unassigned processes, for example by using the filter values not set for the Process Level column and Imported for the Status column.

The table of processes includes all processes of the Process Space, possibly spread over several pages.

The checkboxes are used to select the processes that are to be assigned to the same hierarchy element.

Information can be called up for each process.

In the dialog for selecting the process map, hierarchy elements that have sub-elements are marked with an arrow.

How to proceed

1. In the main menu, select Manage Processes.

   The overview page of the same name appears.

2. Select the Actions tab.

3. Select the Assign Processes to a Process Level action in the Assignment and Visibility tile.

   A page of the same name appears.

4. To reduce the number of page changes needed for the selection, restrict the list of processes using the filters. To do so, click the filter, set the filter and close the filter selection by clicking the filter again.

   The table is restricted accordingly.

5. Select the checkboxes of the processes that you want to assign to the same hierarchy element of the process map.

6. Click Execute action on {{number}} process(es).

   The Select process level for {{number}} processes dialog appears.

7. Navigate to the hierarchy element to which the selected processes are to be assigned and select it.

8. Click Save.

   The selected processes are assigned to the hierarchy element of the process map. Depending on the filter settings, they may no longer be displayed.
