Selecting Higher-Level or Lower-Level Organizational Units

As an alternative to restructuring using drag and drop, you can assign one higher-level organizational unit and several lower-level organizational units to an organizational unit.

Prerequisites

You are a BPM Manager.

You are on the Organization page tab.

Context

As an alternative to restructuring using drag and drop, you can assign an organizational unit (including its sub-elements) to exactly one other higher-level organizational unit. You can also assign several lower-level organizational units (and their sub-elements) to the organizational unit.

How to proceed

1. In the organizational structure, click the organizational unit.

   The organizational unit’s page appears on the right.

2. To assign an organizational unit including its sub-elements to another higher-level organizational unit, click the edit icon next to the Higher-level organizational unit section heading.

   The selection dialog appears.

3. To assign lower-level organizational units including their sub-elements to an organizational unit, click the edit icon next to the Lower-level organizational units section heading.

   The selection dialog appears.

4. To search for a specific organizational unit, enter part of the name in the Search text field.

   The entries displayed are restricted accordingly.

5. To select the higher-level organizational unit, click the organizational unit’s entry.

   The entry is highlighted in color.

6. To select a lower-level organizational unit, select its checkbox.

7. To confirm the changes, click Apply selection.

   The selected organizational units are displayed in the Higher-level organizational unit or Lower-level organizational units section.

   You can navigate directly to the organizational units.
