Assigning a Process to a Hierarchy Element

Prerequisites

You are a BPM Manager.

Context

The hierarchy elements of the process map levels are managed on the Process Hierarchy tab of the Manage Process Space page. Each hierarchy element groups either further hierarchy elements or, on the lowest level, the processes.

Imported processes must be assigned to a hierarchy element so that they are available to it for linking.

The list of hierarchy elements, indented by level, and the processes already assigned are located on the left-hand side.

The processes not yet assigned are listed on the right-hand side.

Both lists are sorted alphabetically automatically.

How to proceed

1. In the main menu, select Settings and then Manage Process Space.

   The page for managing the process space appears with the Process Hierarchy tab.

2. To assign a process to a hierarchy element, drag and drop the process onto the hierarchy element.

   The process is placed under the hierarchy element.

3. To assign further processes, repeat step 2.

4. To confirm the changes to the process hierarchy, click Save.
