An element can be renamed and translated.

## Prerequisites [#voraussetzungen]

You are a **BPM Manager**.

You are on the **Manage Process Space** page in the **Process Hierarchy** tab.

## Context [#zusammenhang]

You edit the name and description of an element, for example to adapt it to a changed name in the process map.

The name and description can be translated into one of the content languages in order to display them to users in that language.

## How to Proceed [#so-gehst-du-vor]

1. To rename or translate an element, navigate to the element and click ⋮ **Manage Level**.

   The element's page appears.
2. To rename the element, change its name and adjust the description.

   The **Discard Changes** and **Save** commands are enabled.
3. To translate the name and description, click the **toggle icon**.

   The display switches to two-column mode with source language and target language.
4. In the drop-down list of the same name, select the **Target Language**, enter the translation for the name and description of the element, and repeat the procedure to translate into further languages.
5. To confirm the changes, click **Save**.

   The changes are saved and the buttons are disabled.
