Analytics provide overview information. ## Purpose [#zweck] The **BPM Manager** defines general settings for the Process Space, primarily to ensure consistent design, use and structuring of the processes. The BPM Manager also determines the use of certain functions and the layout of the Process Space. Analytics give the **BPM Manager** an overview of the key parameters of the Process Space. ## What You Define as a BPM Manager [#was-du-als-bpm-manager-festlegst] As a **BPM Manager**, you are responsible for the Process Space. You make the key definitions on the **Manage Process Space** page, which you can access in the main menu under **Settings**. The following aspects of the Process Space are managed here: - **Process Hierarchy** tab This tab is used to build and manage the hierarchical structure of the processes in the Process Space. The structure can only be created here and changed by drag and drop if required. The processes that have not yet been assigned are displayed in a filterable list. These processes can be assigned to the hierarchy by drag and drop. The **context menus** of the structure elements and processes offer, among other things, commands for managing them. The **BPM Managers** and **Risk Managers** lists can be edited. The selection options for the **BPM Managers** result from the assigned Modeler licenses and for the **Risk Managers** from the assigned Contributor licenses in the Bpanda account of the Process Space. The list of **Process Designers** results directly from the assigned Modeler licenses in the Bpanda account. In the **All users and groups in the Process Space** list, you can click an entry to open a dialog with detailed information. The list can be restricted to users or groups. Clicking the **Invite users** button opens a dialog for the settings for inviting users who have not yet been invited. Bpanda is based on a clear role concept. Process-specific competences allow Bpanda roles to be specified on the basis of particular competences. They do not change the role concept, but they do offer a way of giving the Bpanda roles individual naming conventions. Competences can be added to the list and assigned as process-specific role labels for employees, groups, organizational roles or organizational units. Competences can be edited (named, described, translated) and deleted. Competences are assigned on the process page under ⋮ **Settings and Information**>**Roles and Permissions**. For further details on how to proceed, see [Creating and Assigning Competences](/manage-and-configure/assigning-users-and-roles/create-and-assign-competences). - **Modeler Preferences** tab Here you define basic settings for the integrated Modeler. - The modeling language determines the language of new process versions. - Innovator processes can optionally be editable in the Modeler. - Global properties can optionally be defined for processes, subprocesses and certain process elements. - The shape size determines the default size of new task elements in the Modeler. - The color option determines whether modelers can change the shape and font color. - The options for various element types determine whether these elements can be used in the Modeler for new drafts. - The validation settings let you define how certain deviations from the BPMN notation are displayed in the Modeler. For further details, see [Using Analytics](/manage-and-configure/manage-analytics). ## Handling Several Processes or Revisions [#mehrere-prozesse-oder-revisionen-handhaben] On the **Manage Processes** page (main menu **Processes**), **BPM Managers** can perform actions for managing several processes in the Process Space, both in a dashboard and in thematically structured tiles. **Process Owners** can handle several of their processes. Note: The actions relate either generally to a process or explicitly to a particular revision. To simplify editing, selections are retained when you switch actions within a group. As a **BPM Manager** or **Process Owner**, you can perform the following actions. 1. **Process-related actions** - Assign processes to a process level \* - Assign Process Owners - Assign blocked users - Assign Process Contributors - Hide processes - Show processes - Export process revisions - Export process responsibilities (lanes) 2. **Revision-related actions** - Assign Process Participants - Run through the release workflow - Create reviews - Adjust validity \* **BPM Managers** only Selecting an action opens a page with a sortable and filterable table, which may span several pages. The **filters** are used to restrict the view to the relevant entries. Special filter values are available for this purpose, among other things (e.g. **not set** for the **Process level** and **Users** columns or **latest** for the **Revision** column). Selections are retained and remain relevant even if the entries concerned are filtered out. The number of current selections is displayed in the button for executing the action.
