You can create an organizational unit on the top level or on the next sublevel of an existing organizational unit.

## Prerequisites [#voraussetzungen]

You are a **BPM Manager**.

You are on the **Organization** page tab.

## Context [#zusammenhang]

Regardless of the content language set in your profile, naming is always done in the modeling language specified on the **Manage Process Space** page in the **Modeler Settings** tab.

Organizational units can be marked as external, e.g. insurance companies, banks.

If organization types have been defined, the organizational units must be assigned to an organization type.

## How to proceed [#so-gehst-du-vor]

1. To expand the collapsed **Organizational Structure** tab, click the arrow icon on the right.
2. To create an organizational unit on the top level, click the plus icon at the bottom right of the tab.

   The dialog for creating appears.
3. To create an organizational unit on the next sublevel of an existing organizational unit, navigate to the organizational unit and click **Add Organizational Unit** in the ⋮ submenu.

   The dialog of the same name appears.
4. Enter the name of the organizational unit.
5. In the **Type of Organizational Units** selection list, select the organization type of the organizational unit.
6. To mark the organizational unit as an external unit, activate **External**.
7. To translate the name, click the toggle icon in the dialog.

   The display switches to two-column mode.
8. In the selection list, select the language, enter the translation for the name and repeat the process to translate into further languages.
9. To confirm the changes, click **OK**.

   The changes are saved and the dialog is closed.
