Process-specific responsibilities allow Bpanda roles to be specified based on particular competencies.

## Process-Specific Responsibilities [#prozessspezifische-zuständigkeiten]

Bpanda is based on a clear role concept that governs rights and permissions. Process-specific responsibilities can specify these Bpanda roles based on particular competencies. **Process Owners**, for example, can be differentiated into **Process Owner** and **Process Manager**, or into business and technical owners.

**BPM Managers** can manage such responsibilities in a list. **Process Owners** can assign these responsibilities as process-specific role labels to users, groups, organizational roles or organizational units. These labels then appear next to the people as small labels, for example.

Since these are process-specific responsibilities, they must be assigned per process and do not depend on the person! If you have already maintained responsibilities on processes in Innovator, these are of course imported when the processes are imported into Bpanda.

## Creating Responsibilities [#erstellen-von-zuständigkeiten]

### Prerequisites [#voraussetzungen]

You are a **BPM Manager**.

### Context [#zusammenhang]

You use process-specific responsibilities to specify the Bpanda roles **Process Owner** or **Process Contributor** based on particular competencies or naming conventions.

### How to Proceed [#so-gehst-du-vor]

1. In the main menu, select **Settings** and then **Manage Process Space**.

The page of the same name appears. You are on the **Process Hierarchy** tab.
2. Switch to the **Responsibilities** tab.
3. To name and describe a responsibility, click the plus icon in the **Process-Specific Responsibilities** section.

The **Add New Process-Specific Responsibility** dialog appears.
4. Enter the name of the responsibility.
5. To translate the name, click the toggle icon in the dialog.

The display switches to two-column mode.

7. To confirm the name, click **Save**.

The responsibility is sorted alphabetically into the list.
8. To describe the responsibility, click ⋮ **Edit** in the entry.

The page for the responsibility appears.
9. To edit the description of the responsibility, click **Add a description here.**

The page section for editing and translating the description appears.
10. To enter or change the description, click in the text field.
11. To translate the description, click the toggle icon.

The display switches to two-column mode.
12. Select the target language, enter the translation for the description and repeat the process to translate into further languages.
13. To confirm the changes, click **OK**.
14. To return to the list, click **Manage Process Space** in the breadcrumb navigation.

The list of process-specific responsibilities appears.

## Assigning Responsibilities [#zuweisen-von-zuständigkeiten]

### Prerequisites [#voraussetzungen-1]

You are a **Process Owner** or **BPM Manager**.

At least one **Process Owner** or one **Process Contributor** is assigned to the process.

### Context [#zusammenhang-1]

**Process Owners** can assign responsibilities as process-specific role labels to users, groups, organizational roles or organizational units that have been assigned as **Process Owners** or **Process Contributors**. These labels then appear next to the people as small labels, for example.

Restriction: The assignment is made per process and has no effect beyond it!

### How to Proceed [#so-gehst-du-vor-1]

1. On the process page, click ⋮ **Settings and Information**.

The dialog of the same name appears.
2. Click **Roles and Permissions**.

The page displays the **Process Owners**, **Process Contributors**, **Process Participants** and **Blocked Users** sections.
3. To assign a responsibility to an entry in the **Process Owners** or **Process Contributors** section, click the label icon in the entry.

The **Select Responsibilities for {{name}}** dialog appears.
4. To select a responsibility for the entry, activate the check box.
5. To remove a responsibility, deactivate the selection.
6. To confirm the process-related selection for the entry, click **OK**.

The assigned responsibility is displayed as a label for the entry.
