The basis for the **BPM Manager** and **Designer** roles is set in **Account Management** with special licenses. These roles have extended rights in the Process Space.

## Prerequisites [#voraussetzungen]

You are a **BPM Manager** in the Process Space.

There is at least one **Designer** who is **not** yet a **BPM Manager**.

## Background [#zusammenhang]

In **Account Management**, certain users are assigned a special license that allows them to import processes and use the integrated **Modeler**. Only these users automatically have the **Designer** role in the Process Space. One of these users is initially defined as the **BPM Manager** of the Process Space in **Account Management**. Additional **BPM Managers** can only be selected from among the **Designers** in the Process Space.

Additional **BPM Managers** can be defined as deputies, for example.

Note: Adding further **Designers** requires the corresponding license to be assigned to additional users in **Account Management**.

## How to proceed [#so-gehst-du-vor]

1. In the main menu, select **Settings** and then **Manage Process Space**.

   The page of the same name appears. You are on the **Process Hierarchy** tab.
2. Switch to the **Manage Users** tab.
3. To select BPM Managers, click the edit icon in the **BPM Manager** section.

   The **Select BPM Manager** dialog appears.
4. To define a user as a BPM Manager, select the check box.
5. To remove a user as a BPM Manager, clear the check box.
6. To confirm the currently selected BPM Managers, click **Apply Selection**.

   The applied BPM Managers are listed.
