On the home page, processes are accessible via the **process map**. The **process map** usually shows the process hierarchy of your Process Space across several levels.

To find out where a process sits in the process hierarchy, navigating the process hierarchy is a good approach. The process hierarchy is presented by means of process maps, which usually show a hierarchy element with process groups on each of the upper levels and, finally, individual processes on the lowest level, represented by linked graphic elements.

The process map of the top level (level 0) is displayed initially on the **Home** page and on the **Process Hierarchy** page. The process map on the home page links to the process maps on the **Process Hierarchy** page.

You can recognise linked graphic elements on a process map by the mouse pointer appearing as a **link selector** and by the optional shading.

## How to proceed [#so-gehst-du-vor]

1. In the **main menu**, select **Home** or **Processes**. As a BPM Manager, select **Process Hierarchy** there.

   The **process map** of the top level of your Process Space appears.
2. To move further down in the process hierarchy, click a linked graphic element.

   The linked **process map** or the linked process is displayed.

   For a process, the process page is opened.
3. To move up in the process hierarchy from a **process map**, click a link in the breadcrumb navigation at the top of the header area (> Process Space > ...).

   The hierarchy element is displayed.
