As a **BPM Manager**, define the design settings for the **Modeler** to ensure a consistent design of the processes.

On the **Manage Process Space** page, in the **Modeler Settings** tab, you as a **BPM Manager** define the basic design settings for the integrated **Modeler** to ensure a consistent design of all new processes.

The **Modeler** must be reopened to apply the changes.

The following settings are managed:

- **Modeling Language** section

  Here you define the language of new process versions.

  Unless the modeler has specified a different language, new drafts and BPMN files are imported in this language.
- **Innovator Processes** section

  By deactivating the option, you can determine that Innovator processes can only be edited in Innovator.

  If Innovator processes are to be editable in the Modeler, this option must be activated.
- **Global Properties** section

  For processes, subprocesses, tasks, events and data objects as well as data stores, global properties can be defined in an expandable area. In the **Modeler**, corresponding values can then be entered for the respective process elements.

  If the option is deactivated, no global properties can be set in the **Modeler**. Values already assigned for global properties are retained and are submitted with the draft.
- **Shape Size** section

  Here you determine the default size of new task elements in the Modeler. If the option is deactivated, the size cannot be changed in the **Modeler**.
- **Color** section

  This option determines whether the modelers can change the shape and font color. The changes made are then available to all modelers as the default.
- Sections for element types

  The options for various element types determine whether these elements and their subelements can be used in the Modeler for new drafts.

  The following are always available as basic element types:

  - Start event
  - End event
  - Exclusive gateway
  - Task
  - Call activity
  - Sequence flow

  The following element types are managed optionally:

  - Additional element types
  - Gateway types
  - Task types
  - Event definition types
  - Marker types
  - Sequence flow types
- **Validation Settings** section

  Here you define whether certain deviations from the BPMN notation are not displayed in the Modeler, or are displayed as a **Warning** or as an **Error**.

  Regardless of these deviations, drafts can always be submitted as a process revision.
