To record a process in Bpanda, you create a process draft. In the draft, you model and maintain all relevant information before you submit and publish the process.

## Prerequisites [#voraussetzungen]

You are a **Designer**.

## How to proceed [#so-gehst-du-vor]

1. On the home page, under **Relevant for me**, select the **Drafts** heading.

   - or -

   Select the **Create process or process map** or **You have X drafts** tile on the home page.
2. In the **Processes** tab, select the **Create new draft** tile.

   The draft page for processes opens in the **Overview** tab.
3. Name the process. To do so, select the edit icon to the right of the default name "Unnamed process" and assign a name. Make sure the process has a unique name so that you can find it more easily later, especially via the search.

In the **Overview** tab, you can add a process description, Process Owners, attachments or linked architecture elements to your process.

**Note**: You can only add linked architecture elements after the process has been named and saved. You can save your draft with the save icon. The ⋮ three-dot menu offers you further settings options for your process.

Once a process draft has been saved, you will find it under **Drafts**.

You can submit your process draft with **Submit**. From then on, the submitted process appears under **Relevant processes** and **no longer** under **Drafts**.

## Diagram tab [#register-diagramm]

In the Diagram tab, you can choose between the Happy Path and the Modeler to create a diagram for your process draft. You can also switch between the two at any point later in the creation process.
