In this chapter and its subchapters, you will learn everything about process drafts in Bpanda. Process drafts let you capture your processes in Bpanda.

## Overview of the Procedure [#ablauf-im-überblick]

You can first outline the process flow with a name and a description on the **Overview** tab.

The next stage is captured on the **Diagram** tab with what is known as the **Happy Path**. There you model the standard flow without branches. You can also use lanes for this. Bpanda simultaneously generates a corresponding simple process diagram.

To design a more complex process, the **Modeler** for BPMN diagrams with branches, merges, conditions, decisions, events, etc. is also available on the **Diagram** tab. The Modeler provides you with all the essential notation elements of the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).

You can then submit your process drafts. New processes are placed in the **Process Map** by the **BPM Manager**. As an updated process revision, the draft is assigned directly to the process. The **Process Owner** organizes the approval process.

Processes can also be imported into the Process Space via the interface for BPMN files from all common modeling tools. If that is your familiar working environment, you can continue to use it and capture the flows there.

## Drafts in Bpanda [#entwürfe-in-bpanda]

As a **Designer** in particular, it is your task to capture and expand processes. With the integrated **Modeler** and the concept of drafts, Bpanda provides all the tools you need for this.

To illustrate the relationships in workflows in a standardized way, diagrams are usually created in modeling tools using the **Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)**. Bpanda can import them.

The integrated **Modeler** also uses this notation to create the diagrams, both for the automatic Happy Path diagrams and for more complex process diagrams. Process diagrams captured in this way can easily be used as the basis for changes and extensions.

All variants of a draft can be added to the Process Space directly as a new process version (revision). They are then available to the **BPM Manager** for assignment in the **Process Map**. The **Process Owner** controls how a draft becomes a new, published process version in the approval process.
