The review opens as a **Review** area to the right of the process page. The **Overview** section shows information about the review, including its Review Owners and Review Participants, the status of the ratings and the progress.

## Prerequisites [#voraussetzungen]

You have been assigned to a **review** as a **Review Owner** or **Review Participant**.

## Background [#zusammenhang]

A review no longer takes place on a separate page, but directly on the process page of the process version (revision). The **Review** area opens on the right; on the left, the process page remains usable with the **Overview**, **List**, **Guide** and **Q&A** tabs. This lets you review the process exactly as it would later be published.

The header of the review area shows the **remaining time** until the review's end date, an arrow for collapsing and an icon for enlarging. When enlarged, the review area takes up the entire width up to the main menu.

The review area has four sections that you can expand and collapse:

- **Overview** with the information about the review (this page)
- **Give Feedback**\* for comments on the process and its contents, see [Giving feedback on a process](/collaborate/improve-processes/reviewing-a-process-version)
- **Complete Rating**\* for your final rating, see [Rating a process version](/collaborate/improve-processes/rating-a-process-version)
- **End Review**\*\* for the Review Owner's decision, see [Ending a review](/release-process/end-review)

\* Only for **Review Participants**
\*\* Only for **Review Owners**

A red exclamation mark on a section indicates that something is still outstanding from you there, for example your feedback or your rating.

The **Overview** section contains the following information.

- A note about your own status in the review, for example that you have not yet given any feedback
- **Description** with the goal or focal points of the review, written by a Review Owner
- **Validity period** of the review
- **Review Owners** and **Review Participants** of the review
- Bars for the submitted **ratings** (do not release, release with conditions, release) and for the **progress** (participants, of which with feedback, of which with rating)

As a **Review Owner**, you will also find three icons in the overview:

- The gear icon on the description opens **Manage Review**. There you can subsequently edit the description, the end date (with the quick selection options **1 week**, **2 weeks**, **1 month**), the participants and the Review Owners.
- The envelope icon on the participants opens **Send message to all participants**.
- The list icon on the rating bar opens **Participants' ratings** with the status for each participant.

During the review, you automatically receive notifications, for example about comments and replies. After the review has ended, this subscription is automatically removed again.
